How to create dramatic results with your software systems

The majority of organizations when asked about their satisfaction level from their computer software systems indicate that they are less than happy. Why do then most companies get caught in this syndrome and what can you do to either prevent this from happening or take control and change it?

I can remember when I was a youngster and seeing one the first electronic devices we had in the house. In the world of technology this can be considered eons ago, but the device in question was an ordinary black and white television set made by RCA. Under the hand crank tuning knobs and manual power switch, were written the words “solid state.”

• To open Add or Remove Programs, click Start, click Control Panel, and then click Add or Remove Programs
• Click Change or Remove Programs, and then click the program you want to change or remove.
• To remove a program, click Change/Remove or Remove.

Caution: When you click Change or Remove, some programs may be removed without prompting you further.

Query/400 is an IBM licensed program that can be used to obtain information from the AS/400 database. You can use query to select, arrange, and analyze information (data) stored in one or more database files to produce reports and other data files. You can create your own query definitions and run them, you can run existing queries that you did not create, or you can even run a default query against a particular database file (using an unamed query). You determine what data the query is to retrieve, the format of the report, and whether it should be displayed, printed, or sent to another database file.
