Jeremy came to our company with two Associate degrees in E-Business and Network Communications Technology. Some of Jeremy's web technology skills include CSS, Xhtml, Client/Server Scripting, SQL and graphic design skills. Jeremy also has expertise in network design, troubleshooting, PC repair, and server maintenance.

My computer seems to be running slow, programs load slowly, pop-ups annoy me, my toolbar keeps adding unwanted items, and my browser settings keep changing. What's wrong with my computer can someone please help?
Answer
If your PC is affected by any of these symptoms it may be due to spyware or adware. Spyware and adware are software programs that can be installed by accident. Spyware can collect personal information and send it across the Internet. Adware can cause unwanted advertisements to plague your PC and browser settings can change.

To help prevent Spyware and Adware try to always keep your computers operating system up-to-date. Adjust the settings in your browser to a medium or high security settings, use a firewall, and surf the Internet more safely. Freeware programs are also available such as Microsoft's Spybot Search & destroy (beta), Lavasoft Ad-Aware, and Spyware Doctor to help clean up Spyware and Adware from your system. Macintosh users can rest easy knowing that their computers are not as susceptible to Spyware and Adware programs like PCs.

Auto Quotes Integration
For those of you in the distribution industry, Auto Quotes is probably a household name. For those that aren't, Auto Quotes is a pc based sales order and quote-building tool that enables a salesperson to quickly and easily put together an order including all the necessary specs and dimensions. The downside to Auto Quotes is that each AQ generated order or quote must then be rekeyed into the business system for processing. We felt that having to retype information was not only a waste of time but posed a major data integrity issue. So we wrote an interface to Auto Quotes that directly imports an Auto Quotes generated sales order or quote directly into our Distribusmart business software.
